Supporting Dublin City waste initiatives, LSM is proud to partner with Panda Ireland and Key Green waste collection services to roll out an innovative on-street waste compacting solution for Dublin City Council.
This new scheme will see waste compactors installed across central Dublin, helping to remove around 1,000 refuse bags from public view while creating cleaner, safer, and more attractive streets for residents and visitors alike.
The phased introduction begins in the south inner city, with initial installations at St. Stephen’s Green and Fownes Street Upper. Once fully implemented, the compactors will serve approximately 90 streets, working alongside more than 3,500 litter bins to reduce waste and improve the urban environment.
Accessible to both local businesses and residents, the compactors will make it easier to manage waste responsibly and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable city.

LSM was delighted to attend the official launch at the first two pilot sites, where Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ray McAdam, described the new compactors as a “game changer” for the city’s waste management.
“We are investing in a cleaner, more sustainable Dublin, but this is a partnership,” said the Lord Mayor. “We ask every resident, business, and visitor to do their part and help us make a real difference.”
Dublin City Council has partnered with Key Green and Panda to operate the compactors, while providing the necessary street space and electrical connections to power the units.

LSM looks forward to continuing its work with Dublin City Council as the scheme expands to more areas across the city.
