LSM is delighted to support Panda with the supply of two electric cargo waste bikes for use as part of a new waste collection service in Dublin city centre.
The e-cargo waste bikes are being used by Panda to collect waste from businesses and outlets across the city centre, before transporting it to LSM compactors located within the city. These compactors form part of Dublin City Council’s wider waste management initiative, which is helping to provide an alternative to the presentation of plastic waste bags on city streets.
The service follows Dublin City Council’s new regulations, which mean businesses on affected streets can no longer leave plastic bin bags on the street for collection. Designed to improve street cleanliness, reduce litter and help address urban pest issues, the initiative is encouraging businesses to use cleaner and more practical waste collection options.
For Panda, the e-cargo waste bikes provide a sustainable and efficient way to collect waste in busy urban areas. The waste bikes allow collection teams to move easily through Dublin’s streets with no noise and no emissions, supporting a cleaner and quieter approach to city centre waste collection.
Chris Noonan, Head of Commercial Operations, Panda, said:
“The introduction of e-cargo bikes into our Dublin city centre collection service marks an important step towards cleaner, quieter and more sustainable waste management. Supplied by LSM, the bikes allow our teams to move efficiently through busy streets while providing customers with a dependable, emissions-free collection option. We are proud to be part of this initiative and to support a greener future for Dublin.”

Panda’s e-cargo bike waste collection service was launched in September and covers the streets affected by Dublin City Council’s updated regulations. Waste collected by the bikes is deposited into LSM compactors, helping to reduce the number of plastic refuse bags left in public areas and supporting cleaner, safer streets for residents, businesses and visitors.
LSM has been proud to support Dublin City Council’s on-street compaction scheme, working alongside waste collection partners including Panda. Following earlier phases of the scheme, the initiative continues to provide businesses and residents with practical alternatives to traditional bagged waste presentation.
The LSM Electric Cargo Bikes range offers a sustainable, zero-emission solution for urban waste and recycling collection. Manufactured in the Netherlands by Cargo Cycling and distributed exclusively in Ireland by LSM, the range is designed to reduce waste management costs, improve efficiency and cut emissions in city and town logistics.
Alongside the team at Panda, our experts at LSM are proud to provide these e-cargo bikes as part of a wider project helping deliver cleaner, quieter and more sustainable waste collection across Dublin city centre.
